If you are a fuel manufacturer, importer or distributor and wish to apply for authorisation, please download the procedure from the link below, then apply directly to Ricardo-AEA or, if you prefer, to Defra and the Devolved Administrations:

If you are an appliance manufacturer, importer or distributor and wish to apply for exemption, please download the procedure from the link below, then apply using the online application form, which allows you to submit an application and upload documents relating to your application.

If you would prefer, applications may be made by email or post. Applications can be sent directly to Ricardo-AEA or, if you prefer, to Defra and the Devolved Administrations, who normally forward applications to Ricardo-AEA. Contact details are provided below:
